Been having a terrible headache, no doubt from one of my teeth. Highly irritated now, not to mention Monday blues setting in rather rapidly. Trying not to let myself sink into a moody state, but yet at the same time I can't help wishing for the end of the day to come (it's barely even started yet!)

All things good and beautiful
A collation of stuff worth waiting for ..
1. Home-made Swedish meatballs, done by Yx last weekend for Wednesday's party. Made according to Ikea's own recipe with a splash of carbonara sauce! Gotta bug her to type the recipe down in the food blog, which hasn't been updated for AGES.
2. Stuffed vines - you could buy just the grape leaves like we did and make them from scratch, or buy tinned stuffed vines which have no meat in them, just vegetarian.
3. Brownie enjoying a tummy rub on bed
4. Cafe del Mar on Sunday. Quite a cosy little gathering!
5. I like this part of the luge. Not the skyride, no no and no. Shit. Was an utter embarrassment.
6. Frog porridge on Sunday morning!
7. And so I spent the weekend on Tahiti. Yeah right. This is Sentosa. Not bad, huh?
8. The naughty boy at Cafe del Mar on Saturday. He planted himself in this crevice to ambush and attack the poor waiter, after which he was promptly chauffeured straight home.
And once again, all good things must come to an end. Had a pretty fruitful and well-spent break, I guess, although much of it isn't utilitarian - for example, I've still put off seeing the dentist and servicing the car. Heck, had plenty of alcohol anyway. =p Yanxian did up a really funky version of lychee mojito which was really good (forgot to take pics!!), had really cheap drinks at del Mar (wink wink!), plenty of pina colada in my room, and of course, the 1L of beer that I downed at the beach today. And now, to look forward to future holidays. Start planning, have envelopes of itineraries that can be slit open and acted on whenever the time comes, haha.
Been cranky the last few weeks. Really cranky. I'm terribly sorry. It's been hard, for you and for me.

Heck, I'm telling myself to just do it. Either way, it needs to be done. If it turns out for the worse, it'll just be for 2 hours. Last-ditch attempts to feel better. Same goes for tomorrow.
Just wrote out a preliminary list of things that need to be settled, but perhaps I'll start on them tomorrow - too caught up with things today. Seriously have a lot more going on than just work, which perhaps bodes well.
Been difficult. I want to make things beautiful for you.

Life in RandomJust some pics of stuff that's been happening over the last couple of weeks. The nicer things in life, to put it that way.
Yx posing with the yellow aliens (I assume they really ARE aliens, right? I mean, the lurid yellow colouration, strange popping eyes and funky blue hair ...) This was after watching a late night HP movie, we came out to an empty cinema which was a great opportunity for clowning around.
At Cafe del Mar - Yx in her very sexy new batik sarong skirt. Rita's actually wearing Yx's skirt, which was hilarious. I think that was the first time I ever saw her in a skirt.

Had just that little kiss of real sunlight on Saturday afternoon - spent a couple of hours lying on the beach, followed by a cosy little session at Cafe Del Mar with just a few other people. The place is nice, although the devans ARE filled with sand. Eeeeks. And the half-naked DJ's kind of creepy too. The twice-a-night fireworks at the Songs of The Sea show can just be seen from the pub, which is a nice touch. Going there again this coming weekend, yay!! Just so happy to be with company these days.
My (half-hearted) diet's also out of the window this evening, we had high tea with The Bitch and Montyelm at Rendezvous. Seriously overate, so I had to skip dinner. The spread is really quite decent, although the dim sum left much to be desired. Particularly liked the chilled prawns - aren't those like quite expensive?
Monty, yeah, I checked out the Dempsey Road establishments. May go for one of them next week, I'll post it up if it's good!
Did some thinking this weekend. Time for some internal reconstruction. Time to stop whining.

Hmmm ... one of my lovely boxfishes disappeared! Wonder if he got stuck in the rocks somewhere. There's a small outbreak of ich in the tank now, the moorish idol's got it worst. Yes, I know - moorish idols (the black-and-white striped fish with the long snout in Finding Nemo who behaves like some tribal king). Notoriously difficult to keep in home aquaria. Yx and I were quite reluctant to buy this guy, but the shop owner fed it to show us that he's eating pellets! Oooh. Problem is, he's really slow at finding food. Quite silly actually. Still waiting for a Red Sea regal angel to pop up in one of the shops.
Yay, weekend's coming!! Gotta survive today, gotta survive today, gotta survive today. And if I do, I'll post up pics of the new fishes.

Urgh, woke up with puffy eyes! OK, 5 hours a day isn't quite working out for me, I seriously need to get a little more sleep. It's going to be really happening this weekend, although I'm seriously going so broke from all the drinking sessions. That, and the nurses think that we're all alcoholics. =p It's awfully expensive to have even a little fun here in S'p.

Feeling rather upset tonight. MY made a trip down to my workplace, to discuss the choreography of what we're teaching on Friday, when I realised that CRAP. I can't make it on Friday after all. Felt so bad about her wasted trip. Yx came over for dinner too! Yay!! Feels really good to have friends visiting on calls, although it's almost always never pleasant for them - things crop up, and sometimes they just wait for hours.
First day wasn't all that horrid. I even managed to have some R&R in the afternoon - bought a travel magazine to read. Gosh! The things I'd do to go on a holiday in Bora Bora! Looking at my bottle of Malibu now, and wishing that I was sitting right at the foot of a sandy beach, with a glass of pina colada and watching the glorious sunset.
Came home in time to feed the fish, yay!

What if ...Ever had a time when you wish that something unpleasant would be over soon?
What if you could just skip right past that at will, to the next pleasant scene?
What if you could just skip past everything unpleasant to some point in the future -
at which point would you stop? Or will you just choose to live it through, find that silver lining and hold on to it?
Woke today with a definite gloom in the air. Due to a strange set of circumstances, things probably would have been much worse. Should be grateful.
