A story about boys who never did grow up

2 big kids (Wenky and DL), together with M,MH and SJ, decided to lunch at Tampines Mall during the 2nd week of their Wait-For-Exit-Round posting. We ventured into Toys 'R Us, and the 2 big kids started gawking over PVC telescopes, plastic microscope, Sea Monkeys, and ... (gasp!) Triops! We decided we HAD to get our paws on those
"dinosaur shrimp". Still, $40 was waaay too much to pay for 50 eggs, a fish tank, and food, so Wenky was assigned the task of internet-ordering the stuff. We subsequently spent the afternoon browsing the net and hooting gleefully at random facts like Triops can actually grow to 10cm in length in a few weeks.

After 2 weeks of waiting ... WE HAVE CONTACT!! Muahahahaha!

I ordered 3 kits, 1 for me, 1 for DL and 1 for ... well, just a spare in case it doesn't work out.


Now, the Triops are supposed to double in size almost every day, so I'm keeping an online diary for them. We're going to compare our Triops, and SJ will have to eat the loser's Triops. =

And Mr. Itchy-Fingers went to look at the eggs .. now, I'm supposed to get 30-50 eggs in each kit. Small, aren't they?
