CRAP. I'm so lost in my own world, I thought tomorrow's THURSDAY! OMG OMG OMG my precious holidays just zipped right past me! Must have been that trip to Malaysia. Anyway, I did manage to get to the population of U.aurea in the end, did some water parameter measurements and wrote a rather lengthy report in one of the local CP forums.

Tank-wise:
Visited coral farm on Tues, and bought 1 Sarcophyton (the wang4 wang4 xue3 bing3 finger coral) and 2 very lovely pieces of clove polyps!

Re-instated my skimmer today, set it to wet skimming and gosh .. the crud that The Little Skimmer That Could pulled out! 2 cms of nasty, brown gunk.

Removed calcium reactor, found that the Maxijet's nozzle was actually broken. Fixed it back on with PVC glue, double-sealed it and left to dry for an hour, and later I'll be sealing in the whole thing using silicone glue. Pray hard that this works.

Measured nitrate today, fell to 25ppm. 10pppm more to go!!
